Advancing Precision Cancer Care Through Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Madison, WI
August 27-28, 2026

Advancing the Diagnostic-to-Treatment Continuum in Cancer Care –
Madison

Advancing science through collaboration and shared purpose

Madison is home to leading research institutions and clinical innovators advancing cancer discovery, molecular medicine, and precision oncology across the Midwest. The Advancing Precision Oncology and Advancing Pathology Education meeting will bring together pathologists, oncologists, translational researchers, and healthcare professionals for a multidisciplinary program focused on connecting diagnostic insight with real-world therapeutic decision-making.

The program will be co-chaired by Razelle Kurzrock, MD, FACP, Associate Director of Clinical Research at the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center, and Jeremy Kratz, MD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, physician-scientist at the UW Carbone Cancer Center, and investigator with UW’s Center for Precision Medicine.

Dr. Kurzrock is a globally recognized leader in precision oncology, biomarker-driven clinical trials, rare cancers research, and experimental therapeutics. She has led more than 100 clinical trials and has been instrumental in advancing personalized treatment strategies that match patients to therapies based on the molecular profile of their disease.

Dr. Kratz’s clinical and research interests focus on hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers, with an emphasis on patient-derived cancer models, molecular profiling, targeted therapeutics, and mechanisms of treatment resistance. Through his work with the Center for Precision Medicine and UW Carbone Cancer Center, he helps advance translational strategies that connect molecular insights with precision cancer care.

Through dialogue across pathology, oncology, and translational science, this meeting will highlight emerging discoveries and practical strategies that support precision oncology in everyday clinical practice. Attendees will gain actionable insights and collaborative perspectives to help advance cancer care throughout the region.

Continuing education credits, including CME/CE and MOC, are planned for this activity.
